This is what I have and it works exactly how I want it to work. This is the connection string to use when you have an access database protected with microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0 password using the Set Database Password function in Access. I download microsoft 64 bit version. Still it is showing Micosoft. I assume that a 32 bit app needs the 32 bit version, microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0
Yes it does, and as both drivers cannot coexist you indeed have to deinstall the 64 bits driver before installing the 32 bit microsoft.jet.oledb.4.0. It's not logical that the driver appears to be missing even after you installed the 32 bit driver. Can you try to run the command I mentioned in point 1, in the initial screen you can see all registered drivers, in this case for 32 bits. Not sure as you are talking about the "same error message" but note that this is not enough.
